Barbara’s professional art career started out by being accepted into the most prestigious art shows up and down the east coast. For seventeen years, (twelve of the seventeen years of doing shows were the sole income for her family of five), Barbara used a beautiful Flemish Romantic Realism Old Masters Palette for local landscapes and a flamboyant impressionistic style for florals. Barbara learned these beautiful palettes and techniques in Houston, Texas in the mid seventies after her three children were born.

Barbara also painted murals in private homes and schools during this time.

Finally, tiring of doing shows, Barbara decided to see if she could build a new business by teaching her secrets to the public. Armed with her education degree, Barbara blended her knowledge of teaching basic fundamentals to her new students in the form of fine arts on canvas.
